This issue presents a collection of contemporary legal studies that reflects the journal's continuing commitment to examining both normative and practical dimensions of Indonesian law. The articles discuss the transition readiness for the new Criminal Code before 2 January 2026 through normative harmonization and legal certainty in enforcement (Rae et al., 2025), the 2025 Criminal Procedure Code and due process guarantees concerning arrest, detention, and interception in a rule-of-law state (Iryani et al., 2025), the separation of regulatory and management functions in state-owned enterprises after the 2025 institutional reform through accountability and good governance design (Ismail et al., 2025), meaningful public participation in lawmaking after the 2025 legislative controversies (Rae et al., 2025), and the constitutional right to demonstrate and standards on the use of force by authorities during the 2025 wave of protests (Setiawan et al., 2025).
