Abstract

berbeda, sama-sama menganut sistem pemerintahan presidensial. Namun, terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam struktur kelembagaan, mekanisme
pemilu, serta hubungan antara lembaga-lembaga negara. Analisis komparatif
Indonesia. Kata Kunci: sistem ketatanegaraan, Amerika Serikat, Indonesia, sistem

Abstract
This journal aims to analyze and compare the constitutional systems in the
United States and Indonesia, as well as examine the implications for the
national political stability of each country. The two countries, even though
they have different historical and cultural backgrounds, both adhere to a
presidential system of government. However, there are significant differences
in institutional structures, electoral mechanisms, and relationships between
state institutions. This comparative analysis will identify the basic similarities
and differences between the two systems, focusing on the principles of
separation of powers, the system of checks and balances, and the role of
political parties. Apart from that, this journal will also explore how these
differences have an impact on political stability in each country. This study
concludes that although the two countries have similar government systems, there are significant differences in political practices. These differences have
complex implications for national political stability. Through this comparative
study, it is hoped that it can contribute to a deeper understanding of political
dynamics in the two countries, as well as provide input for efforts to
strengthen political stability in Indonesia. Keywords: constitutional system, United States, Indonesia, presidential
system, political stability, separation of powers, checks and balances, political
parties
